During these very strange times you may be looking at new ways of working and using this time to consider how you can re-build your business to be more resilient and more agile. One of the reasons I built PrimePRO and PrimePAY recruitment software, was to create something for the market that would make a difference. To make your life easier and using modern cloud technology to give you an advantage. Never in a million years would I have thought we would be sat here right now in this scenario. Yet in some small way I have contributed something of great value to our customers who are able to fully operate their business from home. So if you are looking at a new…

Here at PrimePRO, we're working hard behind the scenes to make sure we are fully prepared for the potential effect it could have on our customers. Being in the tech sector, we are well positioned to adapt as things develop. With this in mind, we have already moved to remote working positions and are available via phone and email if required. By doing this we can continue to offer our full range of services at this difficult time. For piece of mind, our hours will remain the same (9am - 5:30pm) for calls and emails. We will continue to receive emails 24/7 and will aim to reply to them as quickly and as efficiently as possible. We thank you for your continued…

The way in which holiday pay for agency workers is calculated will change this April 2020. The reference period used to calculate holiday pay has been singled out for change. The reason for this change is due to the government's commitment in making it fairer for workers operating under variable hours affecting typically those in seasonal work and zero hours contracts. Workers who take their holiday during quiet periods are at a disadvantage under the current regulations according to the government. To tackle this disadvantage The Employment Rights (Employment Particulars and Paid Annual Leave) (Amendment) Regulations 2018 comes into effect on 6 April 2020. With April fast approaching agencies should make the necessary amendments to their payroll. When WTR (Working Time Regulations…

Being able to access your recruitment CRM and payroll software from anywhere on any device knowing it's fully secure and backed up gives you the piece of mind that you do not need to do anything, unlike in the good old days when you had to use a tape backup device daily to back up your key data from your server. Things have changed a great deal from those times. However, servers still exist but rather than in your office they are housed in 'data centres' with vast arrays of racks in a warehouse. However not all cloud computing is the same. To maintain continuity of service, scalability and security different data centres offer different levels of contingency and investment…

Data migration for recruitment agencies is probably one of the trickiest things to negotiate when moving from one recruitment CRM to another. The issue of how any existing attached documents and images get moved as well as data mapping fields as accurately as possible. Especially when the software can vary in terms of differing functionality. There has to be an acceptance of manual intervention, unfortunately it's not like one minute you are using recruitment software A and next minute software B, there's always a transition period. Most of our clients have done this manually to save on development cost and in the scheme of things this has worked out quite well for them since it allowed them to have a…

Candidate registration online has been around for some time now, however when it's integrated into your recruitment CRM software the time savings are huge for your recruiters. Where the full record can be inputted by the candidate saving your recruiter's having to rekey the information. With PrimePRO onboarding a candidate is a very simple process. Candidates get sent a link via email where they register online via their own web page, but before they can input any details, they must accept your agency's GDPR policy, providing you with yet another time saver and keeping you compliant! Once they have filled in the first page of their personal details, they are taken through a wizard that prompts them to select which skill/category…

PrimePRO had a great show this year, exhibiting at the NEC for the second year in a row now. This time my son Adam came with me during his gap year to help out his dad! Adam finished his A Levels in June and since then has worked at my wife's primary school as a behaviour one to one with all the challenges that brings! Like all teenagers he doesn't know quite what to do yet although he's keen to start a degree apprenticeship in business management at some point after his trip to South Africa in the New Year. For Adam coming to the show meeting and greeting strangers to talk about our temp agency software was surprisingly easy for…

We need to protect our business. Recruiters tend to keep business in their heads and for owners of a recruitment agency it is essential that you protect your business in case the recruiter is not able to conduct their job through a sudden event or them leaving and walking out the door with a large chunk of your business! How can technology help protect you from this? It wouldn't take much for you to pick up where they left off if your recruiters were logging calls and inputting their bookings into a recruitment CRM system. The trouble with most recruitment software on offer is that they don't work particularly well in the fast-paced environment of a temporary recruitment agency and…
